We are home...grateful and exhausted

We are home....so filled with gratefulness for this amazing trip for Elijah. The kindness and genorosity of strangers has overwhelmed us and inspired us to continue reaching out to those who are hurting or struggling or sick...
We are exhausted this evening. We could not have made it through this week without the help of Nancy, Aaron's PCA and Sarah, Elijah's nurse. It was a lot of work for the 4 of us. It would have been unmanageable for just the two of us without help. We are so thankful for all of their help. All of us are going to sleep well tonight!
Elijah loved his trip. He enjoyed so many new experiences and we will have a life time of memories. All of the kids had a wonderful time. Every family at the "Give Kids the World" village has a child with a life threatening illness. Walking around the Village, you feel like a regular family enjoying a magical vacation. For one week, you forget that your child is sick. The place is filled with hope. It was a spectacular gift to our family.
