Meeting Maisy Grace...

Today was one of those days you don't forget. It was the day we met our potential little girl, Maisy Grace. Please pray for us as we spend the weekend in prayer. We want more than anything to know without a doubt that it is God leading us to this little girl and that we are making our decisions fully on His leading. We do not want this decision to be ours.
We want to know with out a doubt, despite our fear and our excitement, that these emotions do not rule our decisions. We have felt that God has been directing our path to this meeting today. She is 18 months old and is doing very well in her foster home--thriving and happy. She is medically fragile--trach/vent dependent, g-tube, pacemaker, etc... But, she is pulling to stand, walking behind a shopping cart and doing lots of actions to favorite songs. She was delightful during our time with her. Her extensive medical equipment in the room (all that is too familiar to us) was also a stark reminder that we will be entering a world of 24 hour nursing and the crazyiness that comes with having that much staff around all the time.

Before we knew of this little girl, we decided on a name that we really loved..this name has just been on my heart for a few months...Maisy Grace. Today, we found out that the family and nurses call her "Maisy" as a nickname.. I think God is speaking loud and clear...
