I had such a wonderful 24 hours with Maisy at the hospital. Her surgery went very well and it appears to be a minor issue. The ENT just stitched up the fistula right near her trach and that was about it. Everything else looked fine. Maisy handled it all well.
She is an incredible delight..so worth every struggle, frustration and so worth the wait.
The hardest part is now I miss her so much. I miss the way she does the actions to songs that we sing to her. I miss her beautiful precious smile. I don't miss the way that she pulls her vent tubes off of her trach so that the machines beep and a smiling face comes running to her side (okay, it on one very small level is so cute, but obviously, we can never let her know that!)
Thanks for your prayers. I can't wait to bring her home (two weeks from now) and share even more about her. She is amazing...
