I am sure it is obvious to you why I have dropped off the face of the blog world. I so want to be back writing but I have not even had time to check email. With one child graduating and a new baby all in a couple of weeks time, we have been working nonstop try to keep our head above the water.
With no nurses for several shifts, which requires one of us to be awake overnights, our days have turned into a fog...of nursing, phone calls, paperwork and cleaning.
In the midst of our busy days, Mark had a moment of "normal" today...he said it felt so good to wash the car...something that any normal dad does on a normal day...no ventilators beeping, no g-tubes falling out, no reports of bloodwork results or nutritional reports.
We are doing well but are very tired. Maisy is doing so well. We are thankful.
My friend Diane has truly saved the day for us around here. She organized an incredible group of people to help with yard work, cleaning, and helping with the open house. My sisters and friends made bars, provided lots of food and helped get it all ready. Our PCA and friend, Nancy, was tireless in her help around here. I hesitate to thank anyone by name because I don't want to leave out anyone who helped us out. Thanks so much to all of you have helped us get through these last few weeks. I can't tell you how much we appreciate the help...
Even thought I haven't blogged about the open house, I have a friend to help with that also. Dorothy wrote about the open house and even posted pictures...you can read about it on her blog!

When things settle down around here, I have some thoughts to share about life. I can't wait to get back to the blog world!
