Surgery and other things that keep us busy...

After many months of dealing with feeding issues with Maisy, the doctors have came up with a plan to correct some of the problems. On her 2nd birthday, Maisy is scheduled for an appendectomy, a Nissen fundoplication, pyeloraplasty and LAD procedure to correct her malrotated intestines. It is a lot of surgery for such a little girl...and all on her birthday! Please pray for our little girl.

Not only is it her birthday, but two days later, both of our other girls have birthdays also. Hope turns 15 and McKenna turns 17 both on October 1st. Maisy will be in the hospital at least a week. We have a little under two weeks until surgery and there is a lot to get done before life stands still for me as I hang out at the hospital---but keeps on running out in the "real" world.

I am thankful that I have two weeks to spend some "date" time with each of the other kids who give up alot when one of the kids is hospitilized. I am thankful that I have some time to affirm their willingness to help out and do there part when only one parent is available during that time.

The school year started out well with very few complications. I am really pleased with the school programming that we have set up for them this year--we have such great teachers in the kids lives this year. With 6 schools to keep up with, we need things to run smoothly around here!
We have 9 nurses that help us in our home with Elijah and Maisy--with a new bethel student nurse coming in to learn about in home nursing each week. We have the most incredible set of nurses you can imagine. Not to mention the PCA's that help us with Aaron, McKenna, Jordan and Kaden...we are truly blessed.
