The 3 birthday girls this week--Maisy turns 2 on September 29th and Kenna and Hope turn 17 and 15 on October 1st!
Isn't she just irresistable?!!Tomorrow, Maisy will spend her 2nd birthday much the same as she did on the day she was born. She will spend much of her day in the operating room at Minneapolis Children's Hospital. Back then, to repair her heart and her other life threatening defects. Today, she will undergo surgery to repair her malrotated intestines along with a Nissen Fundiplication, Appendectomy, Pyloraplasty, biopsy for more genetic testing and possible a new site placement of her g/j tube.
This time around, there are thankfully some big differences in Maisy's life. This time there will be a family waiting outside that operating room waiting and praying for her. There will be a whole host of friends and family cheering her on and lifting her up in prayer.
This child has been in our lives since we heard about her in March of this year. She became our daughter from that moment on. Each of the kids have delighted in getting to know this special sweetheart in our lives. It is amazing to watch the bonds that have formed between each of the kids and their little baby sister.
Maisy is a joy in our lives... The joy that she brings to us each day has been so unexpected and so pure...such a breath of fresh air. We consider it a privilege to be able to be a part of her life and an even greater privilege to be able to lift her up in prayer. We commit this little one to her Creator and put all of our trust in His healing touch. He has shone brightly through the miracles he has already performed in her life..and we are assured that will continue to hold her tightly in His grip.
