Afternoon update

This picture has nothing to do with Maisy..but it reminded me of the weather outside today...this is Kaden a few years back...always having fun in life's puddles!

Maisy is still doing great. The doctor's are amazed at the turnaround in just 24 hours. She is still in ICU and will probably stay there until tomorrow. She has been sleeping for 3 hours this afternoon after a great morning playing and getting into a little trouble. I found some pretty bracelets for her in the gift shop and she is enjoying those...skip the toddler toys, it's jewelry she loves!
Still no bowel sounds and so she won't start feeding by g tube quite yet...maybe tomorrow.

It's still dark outside, but the sun is shining in here!

Miss Maisy is looking really good this morning. She is not ANY pain meds or muscle relaxers now that she is more stable and doesn't need to be sedated. She is very near to being her old happy, mischievious self! Well, she never lost the mischievious side, but the smiling part has been absent for a few days. She still has a temp and is needing oxygen, but her swelling is WAY down and that shoud help with all the issues going on. I just bet we will be leaving PICU today. I will let you know...
What a difference a day can make...His mercies are truly new each morning...
