Praying for Baby Ben..

My heart is heavy as we just got off the phone with the foster mom of our little baby Ben. We did not fully understand how sick this beautiful little guy is. After learning more about his condition, I am longing to get him home. He needs a family for as long as he is here on earth. I don't want ridiculous paperwork to stand in the way of that. Little Ben is almost a year old. His condition is most likely degenerative. His brain has not grown since he was 4 months old. Many times, we have expected a child that was going to have multiple issues and they have turned out to be so much more healthy than we expected. I don't think this is the case with this little guy. He is a joy to his foster mom but he is experiencing lots of neurological issues that are directly related to his diagnosis: cystic encephalomalacia (cysts in the brain caused by an active herpes infection.)

Please pray along with us for this precious child of God. Pray that the paperwork would be able to be completed and filed quickly and that there would be those who would step forward to help us pay for adoption expenses for this little one. We are fully relying on God to provide the finances and to orchestrate the timing of the adoption. But our heart is telling us that we need to get Ben to the doctors that we know here that can help stabilize things right now.
