Just had to share...

..some pictures of our new cat, Mia. Elijah named him after a beloved stuffed kitty that he calls Mia (that is how he Elijah says "meow") that looks just like him..
Mia has been with us for a few months and he is such a wonderful kitty. He is sweet, loves people, and rarely gets into trouble--unlike our giant Dog, Diego!
Diego gets himself into trouble just by his sheer size. He is a sweet, gentle dog that is great with the kids. He loves the pool and looks for any chance he can to jump in with the kids!
And then there are the chickens---okay, so we really don't have any chickens--this one is at the Kelley Farm near our house. But, one day, we are going to have some--at least this year we have a great garden with several varieties of peppers, beans, celery, tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, parsley, carrots, onions and radishes!,

30 hours away...

Those who dwell among the beauties and mysteries of the earth are never alone or weary of life.  ~Rachel Carson

When everything lined up in our favor, we took the chance to go away overnight to Duluth this past week. It was a wonderful, glorious 30 hours away. We walked by the lake, rode a 4 person bike, went to Split Rock lighthouse and climbed over the rocks at Gooseberry falls. We had bus trouble, two kids sick with colds, one crabby preteen, and we still had a nice--even relaxing 30 hours. What an amazing world God has created for us.
