It looks like lightening struck our tree last night in the storm. But the rainbow was absolutely amazing! We have had so many tornado warnings in our area over the last two years. It is no easy task to get in the basement with medically fragile kids. Isaac was having particularly rough night--I was working out the details in my mind of how I was going to take him in to the hospital...and then the sirens starting going off.
Kaden gets so worried about storms (and bugs, and sharks, and endless other things...) He worries about what he would have done in the storm if he didn't have a family to keep him safe. We had such a precious time sharing God's promises with him as we all sat in a hot and leaking basement waiting for the storm to pass. And when it was over and Kaden crawled into our bed because he was scared, he asked, "Is is sunny in Kenya?" Sweet, sweet Kaden was worried about Tyler all the way across the world. He has a heart of gold.
And now, does anyone have a chainsaw so we can get out of our driveway?!
