up and running...sort of..

We now have a very long cord running across our living room..so at least we have internet access. But, we realized that Kaden also cut the cords on Aaron's power wheelchair. Needless to say, it doesn't work at all and it is very heavy to try and push. We are going to have to load it in the van and get it over to the repair shop on Monday. It really has been a mess. I am still in awe of the protection that was bestowed on my son..it is nothing short of a miracle that he did not cut a cord that could have electrocuted him. I think my thankfulness for his protection has allowed me to keep a positive attitude in the midst of the hassle of dealing with the 6 year olds scissor rampage.

And, besides, that is the little stuff compared to what has been going on this past week. We found out that Maisy has only 5 months left on her pacemaker batteries. Isaac is having seizures. Elijah's bone marrow match coordinator is having a harder time than anticipated finding just the right match for him (I will write more about this later.) My blood sugars have been off the charts high.  And that was just our Wednesday!

Maisy with her Cardiologist, Dr. Singh.

I had such a great time getting away last week. I am amazed at the diversity of beauty...it can be found anywhere if we take the time to see it.   God shares with us the beauty of his creation in so many different and amazing forms. We went to Sedona and to an old mining town called Jerome. Wow. They were so incredible and the views were beautiful.

It is incredibly difficult trying to catch up after being away for a few days. And this evening, Isaac's J-tube fell out and so I will be headed to the hospital tomorrow morning to get it replaced. It should be just a short stay event. I have learned to give myself at least two weeks to get back on my feet after getting away..but I am not sure that is enough time to wade through the paperwork that is waiting for me. Lord willing, I will emerge out of this paperwork nightmare and rejoin life sometime soon!
