The journey begins...

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.  Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.  You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.

The journey of Elijah's life that began before he was ever born continues tomorrow as work up week begins for Elijah. Tomorrow, he will start with extensive blood work, a history and physical  and lots of training for us. He has had a wonderful day today...telling everyone that he loves them. Something we don't often hear from him. His safely in his Father's arms and we will place our full confidence in that truth. 

A gift of infinite value...

The pool is compliments of Aaron's Make A Wish a few years ago...it has been such a blessing to so many. He loves the water!
Wow, we have been given such an incredible gift of two days in row of wonderful family time. We made thai lettuce wraps (yum!) and made hobo stew on the grill for dinner. It has been a holiday weekend filled with just what we needed as we begin our week at the hospital. A gift. A precious, perfect gift. Our hearts are filled with gratitude and praise..and there is nothing better than that.

But, Repeat after me...Do not swim with your insulin pump still attached to your body...especially on a holiday weekend. Just a little tip I have learned from experience. It won't work. They don't ship until Tuesday. And you will feel awful. But nothing can spoil our weekend together.
